Did you know that even worn, holey and broken clothes and home textiles can be recycled in Surrey rather than thrown in your general rubbish bin?
Recycled items are either reused in the UK or abroad or turned into new products such as insulation or stuffing – living on in another form and helping to protect the environment as a result.
Just put clean and dry clothes and textiles in a standard-sized, tied carrier bag and leave it next to your bin on your usual collection day. There are also textiles recycling banks at community recycling centres and in various locations around the county.
