Recycling on the go in Surrey Heath

Recycling on the go has just become a reality for residents in and around Surrey Heath with the recent installation of dual-purpose bins in towns and villages across the borough.

Funded by a grant awarded to Joint Waste Solutions (JWS) through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, 40 new recycling and waste litter bins have been installed in key locations, including Park Street in Camberley and Frimley Lodge Park.

The larger dual-capacity new bins have replaced older, often damaged single use bins. The streets and green spaces now look more streamlined and attractive, without reducing the total capacity for litter and recycling collection.

The new bins make it easy to recycle on the move, accepting plastic and glass bottles, tubs, trays, bags, metal drink cans, and cardboard packaging, the same materials residents can already recycle from home in Surrey Heath.
