Christmas bin collections and Christmas tree recycling


Your recycling and rubbish collections will change during the festive period. Revised dates of collections are listed below.  Collection days will be back to normal from Monday 14th January.  In Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking, please make sure you have your bins out by 6am.  In Elmbridge, your bins should be on your property boundary by 6.30 am.

Christmas tree recycling

Christmas trees can be recycled at your local community recycling centre.

All of our garden waste customers can recycle their Christmas tree in their garden waste bin. Just make sure it is cut up and the lid of the bin is closed.

Elmbridge

Recycle your Christmas tree on Saturday morning, 12 January 2018, at Garsons Garden Centre, Winterdown Road, Esher KT10 8LS.

Mole Valley

You can recycle your Christmas tree at any of the following car parks from Tuesday 1 January to Friday 11 January 2019:

  • Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall
  • Bookham Lower Road
  • Reigate Road, Dorking
  • Ockley Village Hall

Surrey Heath

You can recycle your Christmas tree at any of the following sites from 5-19 January 2019:

  • Heatherside Park (near the recreation ground)
  • Watchetts Road car park
  • Old Dean recreation ground
  • Prior Heath car park
  • Frimley Green recreation ground
  • Mytchett recreation ground
  • School Lane, Bagshot
  • Lightwater recreation ground
  • Windmill Field, Windlesham
  • Clews Lane open space, Angelica Road, Bisley
  • Rosewood Way, West End
  • Yorktown car park, Camberley
  • Clarence Drive, Camberley
  • Woodend Road car park, Deepcut

Woking

Christmas trees can be recycled at your local community recycling centre.

Bulky waste collections

Bulky waste collections will be suspended over the Christmas period. You can book a collection online for after 2 January 2019.

Clinical waste and sharps collections

Some clinical waste and sharps collection dates will change over the Christmas and new year period as follows:

  • Week commencing 24 December:
    • Elmbridge – collection as normal on Monday 24 December.
    • Collections for Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking will be two days later than normal.
  • Week commencing 31 December:
    • Elmbridge – collection as normal on Monday 31 December.
    • Collections for Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking will be a day later than normal.

Collections will be back to normal from 7 January 2019.

Adverse weather

Should bad weather disrupt collections over the festive period please keep your bins out. We will try to collect any missed bins as soon as we can. You can check the website and Twitter @JointWasteSols for up-to-date information.
